Fun Session on Fitness and Staying Healthy

Join us for a fun session on Fitness and Staying Healthy, conducted by Ms. Maya Maker

Maya, 75, calls herself a ‘perpetual student’. Her extensive travels have taken her through the USA, Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia. An avid learner, she tries to pick up new skills as often as she can. After doing a bit of research, she began sprouting Avocado and has since distributed over 150 saplings to anyone who was willing to plant them in their fields or gardens! Her volunteering experiences led her to create a special needs centre, and she also has over two decades of teaching experience under her belt. A fitness enthusiast, she walks over 6km a day, apart from performing other exercises. Her trekking adventures, which she began at the age of 70(!), has seen her undertake over 45 treks of 3–4-hour duration, every other weekend. She has also trekked in the Himalayas a couple of times, and plans to embark on another expedition to the great mountains soon!

Join us in this fun session where she shares her experience and tips for seniors to stay healthy and fit.
