Samarth, which means “capable” in Hindi, the quarterly magazine of the Samarth Community for senior citizens, celebrated its anniversary with the release of its latest issue recently. The magazine, which carries articles, stories, poems and useful information in both English and Hindi, is produced by an editorial team of young and senior writers, content creators and designers with exclusive content meant for senior readers. In a short period, the magazine has developed a strong readership with thousands of subscribers across the country due to the relevance and quality of content and production.
According to Mr. Asheesh Gupta, the editor of the magazine, “A lot of thought has gone into the design itself – from small things such as choice of the fonts, layout, color scheme etc to make it easier to read for seniors. Articles are selected from the perspective of utility and interest of the reader group with lot of feedback sought from them.”
Each issue also brings into focus a relevant theme in addition to broad-based stories and articles. Some of the recent themes have been Wellness for seniors and Travel for seniors. Each issue also has a roundup of new useful information, announcements and implications for seniors. The magazine can be subscribed from the community website www.samarth.community or by calling helpline +91 8800699599.
